Green Mountain Power (GMP), a Vermont-based investor owned utility, has signed an agreement with Infinite Invention (I2) to provide I2’s rapid solar integration technology, the Simple ConnectDER, to regional customers. The deal follows a successful field trial of the ConnectDER technology with Vermont solar installers. To roll out the program, the I2 team worked closely with Dan Mackey and Kirk Shields, Project Managers at GMP’s Energy Innovation Center. Mackey says, “The ConnectDER is a great product. It simplifies the installation of solar in residential applications and eliminates additional expenses for the customer and installer. In addition, the Infinite Invention team have been responsive and a pleasure to work with”.
The GMP team will launch a campaign in November to familiarize installers statewide with the product.
Plans are underway to integrate the Smart ConnectDER into GMP’s meter data network in 2015.
