Install Methods By Market
Install IslandDER™ nationwide with two easy methods. For our Solar MSA and EV MSA, utility approval is required for behind-the-meter install only.
Install Methods
- UTILITY-APPROVED TERRITORIES

Behind The Utility Meter
Depending on the territory, MSAs may be installed by either the solar installation company or a utility technician.
- NATIONWIDE (ISLANDDER™ ONLY)

Separate Standalone Socket
Where utilities have not approved meter collars, you can install IslandDER™ in a separate standalone, customer-owned socket often without utility involvement. You may still need to coordinate with the utility for other aspects of the install.

50 Utilities Approved*
Installing ConnectDER devices directly into the home's existing socket behind the utility billing meter is the most efficient method to interconnect solar, storage, and EVSE. We have relationships with all major utilities across the U.S. and we’re constantly securing new approvals.
